Protagonisti sono i pescatori cambogiani che appartengono alla minoranza musulmana Cham, perseguitata dai Khmer Rossi durante la guerra civile. Vivono da tre generazioni lungo le rive del fiume Mekong, in balia delle sue acque e del cambiamento climatico che sta influendo sull'abbondanza delle sue risorse e la sua biodiversità. Progetti attuali quindi vogliono spingere queste popolazioni verso l'alternativa dell'agricoltura sulla terraferma. L'opera riflette sulle abitudini, le scelte e l'identità di comunità culturali strettamente connesse con la natura e i suoi cambiamenti, ma anche sulle imposizioni sociali. L'artista di origini libanesi Khaled Ramadan ha realizzato un diario di viaggio per parole e immagini tradotte in un'opera che presenta in una prima assoluta.

The protagonists are the Cambodian fishermen who belong to the Cham Muslim minority, persecuted by the Khmer Rouge during the civil war. They have lived since three generations along the banks of the Mekong River, at the mercy of its water and climate change which is affecting the abundance of its resources and its biodiversity. So current projects want to push these people to the alternative agriculture on the mainland. The artwork reflects on the habits, the choices and the cultural identity of communities closely connected with nature and its changes, but also on social impositions. The Lebanese artist Khaled Ramadan has realized a diary for words and images translated into an artwork that presents as premiere.
